Brent Boswell
FOUNDER & CO-OWNER
Brent Boswell has built his career helping golfers become stronger, more resilient athletes. A former top-ranked junior golfer in California, he has trained Division I athletes, professionals and players who have reached No. 1. As founder and co-owner of Launch IX, Brent applies extensive performance training experience through an individualized, evidence-based approach built around what each athlete needs to improve. -

Nick Molina
CO-FOUNDER & CO-OWNER
Nick Molina combines firsthand competitive experience with a deep understanding of coaching and performance psychology. A former NCAA Division I and Division II baseball player with more than a decade of baseball coaching experience, he shapes how Launch IX evaluates, coaches and develops athletes. His focus is individualized development built on better decisions, measurable progress and training that evolves with the athlete. -

Scott Hoyt
GENERAL MANAGER
Scott Hoyt has spent more than 40 years in golf, including 29 as a general manager, leading respected clubs, developing professionals and opening successful facilities. At Launch IX, that experience gives athletes, families and coaches the benefit of seasoned perspective from someone who understands the game, the business behind it and what it takes to build lasting standards. -

Diego Mitchell
PERFORMANCE COACH
Diego Mitchell knows athlete development from both sides of the process. A former state champion and collegiate athlete who began coaching at 17, he uses performance testing, movement analysis and programming built around what each athlete needs. His focus is helping athletes build speed, strength, movement quality and the training habits that support performance over time. -

Kaylee Karpiel
PERFORMANCE COACH
Kaylee Karpiel grounds her coaching in exercise science, research and Division I strength and conditioning experience. With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in exercise science and experience leading strength and conditioning for Western Michigan’s Division I golf team, she translates research into practical, individualized training that helps athletes move better, get stronger and continue progressing toward their performance goals. -

Jay Mariveles-Perez
PERFORMANCE COACH
Jay Perez’s background in competitive athletics and junior golf gives him a practical lens on performance training. With education in kinesiology, a yearlong performance mentorship and Level 1 and Level 2 training through the Titleist Performance Institute, Jay focuses on the physical foundation behind performance, using individualized programming to build strength, improve movement quality and meet the demands of each athlete’s sport.

Launch IX is a San Jose sports performance facility built for golf, baseball and softball athlete development. We combine assessments, individualized training and recovery to help athletes improve their performance in their sport and beyond.

Launch IX works with athletes across all ages and skill levels, from developing and recreational athletes to collegiate and professional competitors.

Our core options are one-on-one performance training and coach-led group training. The appropriate path is recommended for each athlete based on their consultation and assessment.

No. Athletes train alongside others, but each person follows an individualized program with a coach there to guide and monitor the work.

A consultation is a brief phone conversation where we discuss the athlete’s background and goals. An assessment is in-person testing used to guide each athlete’s individualized training program.

Launch IX is not a public open gym or day-pass facility. Independent access is available only through select memberships; most athletes train through one-on-one or coach-led programming.
